The day came, I always knew it eventually would, for both my kids to get their tonsils and adenoids out. For a few different reasons, we had to take Britton to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor who decided that it would be best for Britton's tonsils to come out. During our visit, we mentioned chase and some of the problems we have also have with him. The doctor wanted to also see Chase and his tonsils were even worse than Britton's, so here is where the story begins of getting both kids tonsils out at once. I have to say that I was really worried about this surgery,(I know you are all thinking "Not Jamie, she doesn't worry"). However, things went so well and Britton and Chase were so Brave.
This is Chase getting wheeled in the wagon to surgery. For those of you who know Chase, you know that he was not going to go easy. When the doctor took him from me he screamed "MOM" and tears gushed down his face. I could then hear him screaming bloody murder as I walked away. I wished the doctors good luck and walked away with tears in my eyes. Later they told me that he screamed for a moment and then climbed in one of the doctors laps and talked to him and was so good. They even used the word ANGEL. Apparently I need Dr. Ferguson to come work in the nursery at church.
While I thought Britton would get a little weepy, he just hopped in the wagon and said "Bye Mom".
So I missed all the pictures when they were sleepy and coming out of anesthesia, because I was busy comforting and being a good Mom. This is Britton when he was all the way awake.

Sharing a wheel chair out to the car to go home. Doesn't it look fun to have your tonsils out. Seriously, my kids make it look fabulous.

Until it is recovery time and then it is not so fabulous.
Chase has done a little better recovering than Britton. If you can't tell by his face, Britton is having a harder time.
The tonsils came out Friday and today is Monday. The kids still are not eating much or feeling that great( we had some tears still today from pain), but I think they have done pretty good. We will just keep eating popcicles and taking pain medicine. We are really hoping that this helps with some of their health issues and Chase's terrible sleeping. If not, well were not even going to go there, just stay positive
