Happy Birthday Chase!!!

I can not believe that my baby is 3 years old. I have no idea how it happened either, because I swear I just had him. As you can see from the picture below, he is about the cutest kid out there; no offense to all of your cute kids.

We started the day off with a trip to the Dairy Farm with the preschool. Even though Chase is not technically in preschool, he got to come because it was his special day.

Britton petting a baby calf. The dairy farm was a hit and I think they may have even learned a thing or two. We followed the farm with a picnic in the park and since we have been lucky enough to have daddy home, he got to come too.
Later in the evening, we had a party and I decided to bake my very first cute cake. I have done regular cakes, but nothing like this. Thanks to the help of my friend Brittney, I accomplished it. I have to say, I think it turned out pretty cute.

Present Time!
Chase got a new big wheel, so he will hopefully stop stealing the neighbors.
Blowing out the candle. It took several tries and probably a lot of spit. YUM!
All of his presents.
I failed to mention that Chase was a little sick on his Birthday, but he still managed to have some fun. After all that parting you need a good nights rest.

Chase is happy, spirited, sweet, imaginative, loud, strong-willed, cuddly, and crazy. He makes us laugh everyday(except for those few moments where he tries his very hardest to send me to the crazy house). He has been a blessing in our lives everyday since he was born.

Luck O' the Irish

In our house, we take St. Patricks Day very seriously. Over the years my sister has convinced all of us that we are truly Irish. Even if it is only in heart. We started of the holiday with a Breakfast at Brady's Parents house on the Saturday before. If was a lot of fun filled with green pancakes and treasure hunts.
This is our family with our St. Patrick Day headbands that Shay bought us.
Britton and Chase with all their cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Moline
Kiss the Cook! Shay came over on St. Patricks Day to bake cookies with the kids and make us an all green dinner. This was very much appreciated since I was sick on that day. She is a fantastic chef.
The Dinner consisted of green pasta, green salad, green garlic bread, and green punch, followed by green cookies. It tasted really good, much better than it looked:)

The family enjoying our dinner

To finish the night, Britton had his first basketball game with Itty Bitty Hoops. It is for 5 and 6 year olds only, so you can imagine how that is to watch. It was a fun experience.
Britton has been counting down the days until the next Tuesday so he can play basketball again. He thinks it is awesome and his favorite sport ever. Even though he only has played it once.

Snowmobiling Fun!

Life has been crazy at the Moline house and there has not been much time for blogging, however, this past weekend we had the chance to go snowmobiling with some of our best friends. This trip was some much needed fun for our family. Mike and Emily Snow invited us up to their family cabin for a weekend of winter fun. Just a side note (it has been a year now since the Snow's moved out of our neighborhood and we are still having a hard time adjusting).
This was Late Friday night after we snowmobiled 7 miles in to their cabin. The kids were freezing cold and cuddled together to get warm.

Me and my two boys

Chase, Britton, Spencer, and Bennion all ready to go snowmobiling (actually they were pretending that they were astronauts).

Britton and Chase. Chase would only ride with mommy. Obviously he already knows who he should trust. Britton on the other hand was already to drive his own.

Brady and Britton finishing up their last ride. As we snowmobiled out on Saturday all the children fell asleep except for Britton. It is not easy driving a snowmobile with a sleeping child on your arm, but we all made it.

Thank you to Mike and Emily for being such great friends and for a wonderful weekend that hopefully will become an annual tradition.

Get those Tonsils Out!

The day came, I always knew it eventually would, for both my kids to get their tonsils and adenoids out. For a few different reasons, we had to take Britton to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor who decided that it would be best for Britton's tonsils to come out. During our visit, we mentioned chase and some of the problems we have also have with him. The doctor wanted to also see Chase and his tonsils were even worse than Britton's, so here is where the story begins of getting both kids tonsils out at once. I have to say that I was really worried about this surgery,(I know you are all thinking "Not Jamie, she doesn't worry"). However, things went so well and Britton and Chase were so Brave.
This is Chase getting wheeled in the wagon to surgery. For those of you who know Chase, you know that he was not going to go easy. When the doctor took him from me he screamed "MOM" and tears gushed down his face. I could then hear him screaming bloody murder as I walked away. I wished the doctors good luck and walked away with tears in my eyes. Later they told me that he screamed for a moment and then climbed in one of the doctors laps and talked to him and was so good. They even used the word ANGEL. Apparently I need Dr. Ferguson to come work in the nursery at church.
While I thought Britton would get a little weepy, he just hopped in the wagon and said "Bye Mom".
So I missed all the pictures when they were sleepy and coming out of anesthesia, because I was busy comforting and being a good Mom. This is Britton when he was all the way awake.
Chase with his red popcicle face.

Britton and Chase sitting together on the hospital bed.

Sharing a wheel chair out to the car to go home. Doesn't it look fun to have your tonsils out. Seriously, my kids make it look fabulous.
Until it is recovery time and then it is not so fabulous.

Chase has done a little better recovering than Britton. If you can't tell by his face, Britton is having a harder time.
The tonsils came out Friday and today is Monday. The kids still are not eating much or feeling that great( we had some tears still today from pain), but I think they have done pretty good. We will just keep eating popcicles and taking pain medicine. We are really hoping that this helps with some of their health issues and Chase's terrible sleeping. If not, well were not even going to go there, just stay positive

Sledding

This was our first sledding outing of the season. We had so much fun and it was a perfect day for sledding. My sisters friend Tyson took us up to his families cabin up by Paradise(this is by Logan). After sledding we built a fire and roasted hot dogs and smores. Britton had the time of his life. His exact words were " Sledding is the most awesome thing ever". Chase did not quite feel the same way. We had a few tears and several "my hands are cold, but after some food and warmer gloves, we saw a hint of a smile from Chase. Here are some of our favorite pictures:

Chase- if you look close enough, you can see a tear

There is the small smile we got

Chase and I, this is the only picture I was in. I guess that is what happens when you are the picture taker.

Thanks to Shalynn and Tyson for a great day!

In The Blog World Now!

Hello everyone! I have officially entered the world of blogging. I put it off forever, but finally came to the conclusion that it was time to share my cute family with all those friends and family that we do not get to see that often. I can not promise I will be great at it, but we will see. I will be posting pictures of our recent sleding outing very soon. Be patient, it may take a while to get this blogging thing figured out. Bye for now.
